Chardonnay's citrus, ripe pear and apple, with hint of peach are great with fish or scallops. Cabernet Sauvignon's flavors of black current and hint of oak pairs perfectly with steak. Syrah, with deep cherry berry aromas and wonderful earthy flavors, was made for lamb. Zinfandel's intense black cherry with hints of pepper make a yummy barbeque. Merlot's black cherry, blackberry, and cassis can't go wrong with pork.
